About Prim ~ beautiful Cattle x puppy (On trial 8/3/20)
If having a dog who is a little bit unique is on your wish list, then check out the markings on this sweet, sweet girl. Prim looks to be Cattle cross Tiger! She has the most spectacular brindle patches on her soft white undercoat and a gorgeous speckled nose. Prim is coming up to 8 weeks old and will be ready for adoption from the 5th of March.
Prim was born in care and her mum is a beautiful Cattle cross girl, who was still just a baby herself. She gave us a lucky dip of colours in her 9 pups so the father/s breed are anyone's guess. We think she will grow to be a medium sized dog. She adores her big foster sister and cuddles up to her at every opportunity, so we think she would love another dog in her new home. She can also be quite fiesty with her brother and puts him in his place. She is a total sook for cuddles and loves to nuzzle into your neck.
To give any pup the best chance at a happy and healthy life, it is imperative to provide them with effective socialisation. Not just with other dogs, but to the sights, smells, sounds and movements of the outside world. Puppy school is great, but more important are adolescent training classes teaching appropriate manners, boundaries and coping skills around other dogs and people.
Prim will need a decent sized yard to run and play with secure 5ft fencing and gates and an undercover area for shade and shelter. She also sleeps inside and should do until she is older. She can happily be adopted to a family with kids and will love to grow with them, we just ask that they are respectful and educated about her needs and boundaries too. She will need 4 meals a day until 12 weeks old, then 3 meals a day till 16 weeks old, so time at home with her will also be required.
For more information about Prim, please contact her carer Lauren at hitthesand@hotmail.com . Prim is in the Port Stephens area, NSW (north of Newcastle). You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Prim’s adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.
As Prim is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
Prim’s brother Hamish is also up for adoption.
