About Rusty
Settle in for the story of Rusty. We first came across Rusty wandering the streets looking for a feed but try as everyone did, he would not get close enough for anyone to catch. After months of trying to capture him we finally got him safe and the search for his family began. Not one person came forward for him and given the condition he was in, we took him into our little rescue family.
Since being put into a loving foster home he has thrived. He is still a little shy and will need a slow intro into his new home, and for this reason we have limited his adoption to locals only. His foster family are committed to helping anyone interested in him win him over.
Once he is comfortable with his family, Rusty is a very loyal, loving and happy-go-lucky Doggo, who adores hanging out with his humans. His most favourite spot to be is inside the house with you.
Rusty is a very smart young man who is housetrained and knows his basic commands. He would make a great family dog as he is wonderful with kids and also other dogs, however he is best not suited with cats or birds.
We don’t know Rustys history but we do know that he tends to prefer the company of females. His loyalty is shown in his protection of his family and home. Day by day Rusty shows us more and more of his beautiful personality. He needs a home that is going to welcome him inside and in their daily activities.

Adoption details
All adoption enquirers must fill in an adoption form that we will send you if you email us at CQanimalsociety@outlook.com. Due to the high volume of animals on death row, our own familes, and paid jobs, we will endeavor to answer your enquiry as quickly as possible.
All our adoptions tend to be local, but we have connections all over QLD so are more than happy to consider all serious adoption enquiries. A house/yard check will be done if we can get a local member (if adoption enquiry is not Rockhampton based) to assist. Please note that we will be treating any potential adoption with the upmost care as the animals safety and welfare is our number one concern.
