River 💧

My name is River and I'm a 6 month old Kelpie x Australian Cattle dog. I am a handsome boy with Kelpie colours, but if you look closely, there's some Cattle dog markings there too! Foster mum says I'm the perfect mix of both.

My favourite thing to do is to get cuddles from my foster family....I especially love my hooman foster sister - she is SOOO much fun! Don't be fooled though....although I love to snuggle, I have heaps of energy and love to run around sniffing and exploring.

I knew nothing about this 'training' stuff before coming into foster care, and at first I was a little nervous about the whole thing but my confidence is building each day and I have learnt SIT, to come when called and I'm even walking nicely on lead. I would love to do more training with my new family so I can grow into a confident, happy dog. I am very dog social and love hanging around with my sister and the rest of the furry gang. Foster mum says I have extremely good doggy manners and know not to annoy the older dogs. I am happy to go into my quiet area at night with my sister and I sleep through the night without any fussing. I am also crate trained and will happily rest there after a big play. Foster mum says I am doing an excellent job.

I am excited to find my forever home. Most kinds of families would suit me as long as they understand the mental and physical stimulation needs of my breed and are committed to ongoing training, especially since I am still a pup. I am a pretty sociable boy so I would love to have siblings (doggy and/or human) but most of all, I'd like a family who will love me and include me in their lives.
