Lewis

Affectionate and gentle Lewis is a relaxed, undemanding cat with mesmerising, jewel-blue eyes.

Although confident in new situations, Lewis is most comfortable in a quiet environment. He enjoys playing and socialises well with people and other cats (once the pecking order has been established). Lewis was fairly vocal on arrival in a new space with another cat but is now quieter, having settled in.

He purrs happily having his silky coat gently brushed and petted, but does not demand constant attention. A typically relaxed rag doll, Lewis is happy to be picked up and cradled in your arms.

Lewis wants to be close and likes a lot of human companionship although he prefers lounging nearby, rather than cuddling. He is untested with children, but would likely prefer the company of older children who understand how to read his body language and treat him gently.

Lewis enjoys chasing strings, feathers, and ribbons, but can also spend whole afternoons snoozing on the bed, the cat tree, or hidden in the quiet, darkness of a linen cupboard. He likes monitoring the outside world through the screen door, where he'll greet you on return and ask about your day. And where his next meal is.

Lewis has been an outdoor cat, but has adjusted well to staying inside. He was not frightened by dogs he met outdoors, but is untested living with them.

Lewis is litter trained. He eats both wet and dry cat food, and can get a bit vocal when hungry. Pro tip: feed him before bed.
