About Rosie
Rosie is a sweet but incredibly shy little girl who will only be available to an experienced, patient home. As a feral rehab, Rosie is not, and likely never will be, a lap cat. She is perfectly happy living in a home with humans but she does not seek out affection. She does allow for pats and picking up during feeding and her adopter should continue working with her during this time as that is where she is the most comfortable. She has recently shown some promising signs of improvement but it is realistic to expect her to take months or years before she is fully comfortable with serious human contact.
Rosie does, however, love the other cats in the household and as such would be well suited to providing a current cat with companionship. She will still need to be allowed time to develop a relationship with the cat and have a proper introduction but she has been nothing but affectionate with her foster carer's cats and other foster kittens. She has been living with a small, old dog and has no issues with him but may need a slower introduction to more energetic canines. We would only recommend Rosie to a home with either no children or older teenagers who will respect her need for space as chasing or overhandling is likely to make her regress. She must be kept as an indoors only cat unless you can provide access to a very secure outdoor enclosure - she will not be easy to get back inside and she has shown an aptitude for hunting small creatures.
If you don't mind a highly independent, largely ornamental type of cat or you're seeking some company for your current cat - Rosie could be for you. She will stay with her foster carer who is experienced with raising feral kittens until adopted and we hope to continue seeing her improve as time goes by.
