On Hold
About Po & Luna
Luna is the most curious of the two and is a bundle of energy. She is the first to wake up when you walk in with their breakfast. Loves chasing balls around the room and can't help herself when it stops rolling - ensuing with a pounce and a swipe. After a sniff of you she head bops you and then loves long strokes along her back - stopping the course for her favourite bum scratches. She is a little shy sometimes to your touch but if you sit with her she will warm up quickly and purr like tractor.
Po although the shy one will without a doubt win you over the most. With Luna pouncing about he will sit and watch her. Stretching his front paws out to her for play. Po swipes at the balls she chases around and has the cutest facial expressions. Po knows he is the cool one and does this best to look chill and composed while his un-cool sister does the goofing around. Once he sniffs you he loves his chin and muzzle scratches (he will show you). Po also loves long soft strokes along his side and will roll over in no time! Po is also shy in the beginning but once you sit quietly and let him sniff you he will be all yours.
They are both desexed, microchipped, litter trained and have had their first vaccination.
Adoption details
The Adoption Process
1. Choose a cat
It's essential you choose the right cat that suits your family and home. Most of our cats are available as singles but some cats are only available as 'bonded pairs'.
2. fill in the adoption application form (link below)
We do everything possible to ensure our cats go to loving and suitable homes. The adoption application helps us understand your circumstances and, if suitable, make recommendations on which cats may be more suitable.
Application Form: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=cg1712&method=online_form_html&formid=36
3. Meet the cat/s
We'll arrange a meet and greet, with the cats, at the foster carers home. Each cat available for adoption is currently living with one of our amazing foster carers, located all over Sydney. The suburb for each cat is labelled on the cat's profile page.
4. home inspection
If all parties are happy, we will then arrange a home inspection. This is to ensure the information provided is genuine and the cats have a suitable home. Please note that all volunteers work full time so in most cases it will be after work hours or weekends, depending on your location.
5. finalising vet Work
All cats are adopted out desexed, microchipped and with up to date vaccination flea and worm treatments.depending on the cat's age, condition rescued or time since rescuing, the vet work may not be complete.
Please note: the $250.00 Adoption fee also covers a $57.00 lifetime registration fee.
6. pay deposit
A non refundable deposit of $100.00 will be required to hold any cat. Please note we do not hold cats if you are unable to take the cat when it is ready. If you are not ready at the moment, please only apply once you are ready.
7. pay the remaining balance
Typically, this is $150 as we charge a total of $250 for each cat adopted. This fee contributes towards the vet bills & care since rescue.
8. START YOUR TRIAL ADOPTION
All cats are adopted out on a 2 week trial adoption to make sure it is the right fit for everyone.
We reserve the right to decline any applications.
