Meet Blackie!
This friendly, affectionate boy came to us as an owner surrender and is now ready to find the perfect home.
Blackie is friendly with people and other dogs that he meets. He has lived with children and is very gentle with them. He would be suited to children over 5 to 6 years of age - he can tend to jump up with excitement. He will not be suited to a home with cats and small animals.
He knows a few commands - will sit and shake - and walks quietly on the lead. He's a bright boy so training should be a breeze with him. His recall and jumping up need work so owners who are prepared to do some ongoing training would be a must.
Blackie loves to go on walks and has a favourite bone that he carries around with him. He rarely barks.
He's a medium to high energy boy who will need a good walk at least once a day to keep him happy and healthy. Blackie has been used to having company through the day and gets lonely if left for long periods so would suit a home where someone is home for a good part of the day or can take him to work for at least part of the day..
The perfect home for Blackie will have a good-sized yard for him to burn off energy. He will need a family that can give him the time, attention and love that he so deserves. Blackie will be happy if he is part of the family unit and is involved in what the family do. He also needs to have a life inside the home and be able to sleep inside at night.
If Blackie sounds like the boy for you, please fill out an enquiry and we'll be in touch soon!
