About Alistair and Norman
Alistair has been at the shelter for many months. It was strange reading over his early notes, of when he first arrived to the shelter, scared and skittish. Well... that boy is long gone. Now confident, outgoing, social, this boy is amazing. A few months ago Norman also arrived at out shelter (brown pig). Norman was in a bad shape, with parasites, fungal infections, and something that just didn't feel right. After his quarantine period and recovery, the shelter got very busy, and Norman was placed with Alistair. Just till they found a home. Well, these two have now been with each other for months, and formed a special bond. They're only looking for a home together, as they need each other. Brothers from different mothers.
Now, we don't have favourites, because that would be unfair. But... if we did have favourites, well.. you know. Let's just say if the shelter wasn't already full of guinea pigs that were permanent residents, these two boys would be staying! Absolutely in love with their personalities. Alistair might have some issues with his eyesight, but given guinea pigs just have to eat and sleep all day, it really doesn't affect him. These two are always begging for treats, pats, and are not the least scared of us humans. Chin rubs are great, and they will popcorn around their enclosure hoping for special attention (which, obviously, they get). They're always lifting their faces in the air looking for you (or food) and I can't emphasise how special these boys are.
Alistair no longer has his own profile. He is now listed with Norman, and that's what he would want. Norman, also a super friendly boy who has no doubt been guided by his big bro, Alistair, is an awesome little piggie. His growth has been stunted due to his issues early in life, but he is fine in every other way now, which is another reason we can't keep delaying their adoption. But only to the very best of homes. They're used to being indoors, in the lap of luxury.
