About Moss
Do not be fooled by my good looks and winning smile; I am a little devil in disguise!!!! Moss is just 12 months old and is a super busy, super active dog. His foster carer describes him as a typical teenage boy. He needs strict boundaries and to be kept busy with lots of exercise, training and good quality food.
Moss is excellent with other dogs and has loves to run around with them. He has lived with a cat before however was a bit too playful for her timid nature. He would probably be fine with a dog savvy cat who could stand up to his energy. Moss is currently in foster care on a farm and is fine with cattle, horses and chickens. He has no actual awareness around horses but he's not one to chase them. Moss is a water baby and loves every opportunity to swim in the dam or puddle in a bucket. Moss is like having your own personal comedian in the backyard. He will take off with the shovel or the watering can or a horse feed bag ... he definitely knows how to entertain himself and find his own toys. Just don't leave anything of value lying around as he may decide to play with that too 🤦♀️
Moss is a beautiful and well natured dog but he doesn't understand his size, so for that reason he's not suited to a family with small children. Moss is ridiculously smart and super food motivated. He is very trainable and learns new things quickly. He would be really well suited to agility or flyball or any other activity that involves physical and mental stimulation. Moss will definitely need ongoing training to consolidate what he has already learnt and to mould him into the best dog he can be.
He is not a dog that you can just leave in the backyard and does love space to run. He would benefit from having someone home a lot or another energetic doggy friend for company. He will need to be integrated into your family and given plenty of mental and physical activity. He is toilet trained and will sleep happily though the night if allowed inside. Your reward for this attention and training will be a loving, energetic happy dog that is honestly loads of fun to have around.
