About Billy
*Located in Cairns*
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Untested
Child Friendly: Untested
House trained: Currently outside mostly
Energy Level: Low-Medium
Billy came into care needing some TLC from a hard start in life. He is still working out the finer points in a dogs life, however is taking everything in his stride with slow and gentle encouragement. Billy was very thin on intake to care and due to this is still finding his feet with what activities he likes to do. We think Billy is used to conserving his energy and sleeping rather then being a young busy dog. As a result of this in a few weeks Billy's energy levels may increase to a solid medium, as he grows fit and healthy. As it is Billy has grown very fond of one of his foster sisters toys and happily sits squishing his toy pig and playing with himself.
Billy's foster sisters are not overly interested in playing with Billy, however he happily respects that and doesn't bother them at all.
Billy is a gentle boy, who loves pats from his people. He cant think of anything better then curling up nice and close to you at every possible moment and getting some lovely ear and belly scratches. Even though he needed fattening up in care he still will not snatch his food from you and is happy to gently be given treats from his foster carers.
Billy is still learning how to be a dog and as such his training is going steadily. He shows promise at being a gentle dog, who does not jump up when humans are around. He is learning how to walk on a leash. Billy has started crate training and sometimes prefers sitting in his crate even when the door is open. He hasn't yet learnt to not be afraid of car trips, but hopefully with a few nice trips out that will change.
Billy has the potential to be an amazing dog if only he can find someone willing to give him a chance to show them what a patient gentle character he can be.
