Benjamin Puddles

Ben is a big cuddly bear of a dog. He is big in size and even bigger in heart.

Ben is a Border Collie x Kelpie

He must have been a dolphin in a past life as he LOVES water. He can entertain himself for hours with a large bucket of water, splashing and catching the spray in his mouth. Couple that with a sprinkler or hose and you have a super happy Ben. He has a gorgeous shiny coat and enjoys a good brush, although will need grooming periodically. Ben sits, stays, shakes, kisses and sits between your legs when asked for a cuddle. He is perfect!!!!

Overall Ben has a soft and gentle nature, is curious and exploratory on walks and is very well behaved around other animals. He is very spritely and energetic for an older dog and has generous levels of energy. He sleeps outside and is comfortable being by himself or with various other dogs (including much smaller ones). We think he secretly would love to be an inside dog but would require toilet training, he does display lovely manners.

Ben’s foster family consists of a female Maltese X (aged 11) lives inside (not fussed by her), male cat, two children (aged 5 & 10) and two adults. He has shown playful cheeky affection to all of us equally and is happy to sit or follow us around curiously. He would really appreciate visits to the beach or lakes to play in the water and only needs short strolls to experience new scenery. He enjoys bones or puzzles and loves hunting for hidden treasures (bones or treats) to stimulate his clever mind. Ben love’s balls and all canine games you would expect from a much younger dog, we really wish he meets the most perfect family for he is a dream best friend!!
