Chubbs

My name is Chubbs and sadly for the second time in my life, I am going to lose my family.
I was adopted almost three years ago and have lived a wonderful life with my Mum, but sadly her health is in a decline, and she has to move to a small assisted living apartment, and no pets are allowed.
This is a heartbreaking time for my Mum, as I have been her closest companion for the last three years, but there is no pets allowed at her new home.
I have lived with children, but because I am big and bouncy, children over 6 years old would be best for me to live with.
I have lived my whole life on my own so I have not had any socialization with other pets, so initially I will need to be an only dog. But I am happy to say hallo through the fence to the dogs next door, but an only pet home is best for me.
I am toilet trained, and live inside/outside, and I can be left on my own through the day for up to six hours, but would prefer to have someone home for some of the day, which is what I have got used to .
I get scared when there are storms and fireworks, so will need to have a safe place to be during these times.
I am a loyal, smart and loving boy, please give me a chance, all I want is a family to love again.
I am currently been walked by Damien at Jim's dog wash in Sanctuary Point which is where I live, and he told me I am a good boy, walk well on the lead and l listen to commands.
