About Owen
Owen is a 5yr old Parsons/jack Russell terrier.
The last few years he has had a few homes due to human circumstances and placed in the wrong homes.
Owen is a typical terrier with a strong personality.
This boy needs to be with a active person or family and not be on his own a lot.
The reason for surrender was due to him escaping the yard when his people were out. (Digging)
He just goes off visiting the neighbours, and chasing the cats and just been Owen.
He is fantastic with children! Absolutely adores them.
Loves being sooky and loving with his person.
Not a barker.
He has a huge bird prey drive, so no homes with birds or chooks. And he isn’t great with cats.
Yes Owen does have some quirks that are never going to change, but that is what makes Owen who he is.
He really needs someone that understands the breed and the energy levels that can have when they want to explore and go on adventures.
Don’t get us wrong, he is quite happy to be a couch potatoe with you as well, but enjoys the outdoors as well.
He just needs someone that can teach him to have boundaries and some manners.
Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
