About Legana
Have you got extra time in your day? Well you will need it walking this girl! Everyone stops to chat and show her some love because it's not everyday our see a wolf walking the streets
Legana is a perfect walker and makes you look like a great handler. She walks perfectly with her foster carer along the beach esplanade next to the pram. She doesn't get distracted by other dogs. Without the pram she still walks on a loose lead however sometimes practises her 'heal' too close and gets under your feet.
Legana loves nothing more than playing with her foster siblings. She is fast and has a lot of energy when it comes to play. She runs at them as if she is a wolf on a hunt, pouncing at them in big leaps with lots of play biting. She loves her bush walks, and paddling and chasing the other dogs in the dams. Swimming at the local river with her playmates is also a favourite outing.
Her play style is not for all dogs. She loves to chase, which can be intimidating for some dogs. Once she has caught up, she plays tag by mouthing the neck of the other dogs. Due to this style of play, we don't believe she would be the best type of dog for dog park situations and she still needs a confident and competent handler to manage her play style.
She now sees the car as the gateway of these outings so car trips are very exciting for her, especially if she can stick her head out the window. her front legs will jump up onto the car but the princess will expect her back legs to be lifted for her.
Around the home, this house-wolf enjoys the affection. She is extremely soft in nature and just wants your love. She slides up your body demanding affection. In her previous life she wasn't allowed in the home so she is still exploring and snoopy for the first 10mins but then relaxed and happy to sleep on the rugs in the air con. She is in love with her newborn brother and will lay on the rug next to him sleeping the days away and non-responsive to his screams or cries.
When coming into care she was extremely skinny and wasn't on a good diet. She wouldn't eat raw food due to the confusion about what to do with it. Fast-track to now, she loves her food. Gold tip - best not to tempt her with food left on benches for now. She is still learning what's yours and what's hers.
Legana is very submissive in character, and she still shows moments of insecurity. She will jump up onto her humans when unsure. She can be upset and show with a little howl if left alone in an area not of her choosing however this is almost settled now. She is happy with her fellow siblings. Legana does have a green thumb and has shown to enjoy a little bit of digging.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
