About Chilli
Chilli is one hot loving boy!
He is sweet and lovable, loves to snuggle on your lap or on the couch, loves to be picked up and cuddled and sleeping as near to you as possible! He can still be a little timid around new people, new things and noises when out and about, however is doing much better in this regard in the short period he has been in foster care. It does not take long for Chilli to warm to new people and once he has he is your friend forever:) Chilli will only be rehomed to a home that will continue to get him out and about and give him some further positive socialisation in the outside world. Any previous experience in this regard is preferred. As Chilli is only young he will improve provided he continues to receive this positive socialisation and become the best dog he can be as he is almost already there:)
Chilli must have access inside/outside.
Whilst Chilli can be a bit sensitive to people and some noises in the outside world he just loves other dogs and is happy to greet any size dog in the park and at the beach. Chilli MUST BE REHOMED with at least one other younger small friendly, playful dog to play with and snuggle up to when her humans are out. Whilst Chilli is only small (3.5kgs) a robust small dog up to about 11kgs is needed for Chilli as he loves to rumble and play and he could be a bit much for a dog his size. Chilli absolutely loves his toys and balls so a home with a basket full of toys and balls is essential and if your dog loves to play with toys with another dog even better:)
Chilli would prefer a home where his owners are home more often than not as his favourite activity is being with you!
Chilli travels well in the car, walks well on leash and enjoys his daily walks with her foster carer's other two dogs walking/running for about 45 mins to an hour each morning at the beach or in the park and again of an afternoon for about 30 mins so an active home is also a must for Chilli.
Chilli is a still a bit of a "work in progress" with his house-training so any new home must be prepared to continue his ongoing training. He is doing much better in this regard, has worked out the doggy door and for the most part takes himself outside for toileting now. His foster carer can give you some tips to help with the settling in period in the new environment.
Chilli will not be rehomed to a home with children under the age of 16 years of age.
We are unsure how Chilli is around cats.
If you think you may have the right home to offer Chilli, please email us as much information as possible about the home you can offer Chilli and your other dog/s.
Chilli is in foster care in the Sans Souci area of Sydney and is not available for interstate adoption.
