About Archer
Archer is a cheeky and playful young man in the prime of his life at just seven months of age. He hasn’t had a bad start to life and is being fostered by a qualified dog trainer. This means the good behaviour he is learning can be picked up and continued with his new family. Archer sleeps in a crate at night and has learnt to stay on his bed when he’s inside the house. He also drops things on command when ‘cleaning up’ after his humans! Archer needs his new family to continue working with him on being calm when meeting new doggy friends – he just loved to play. A fur-sibling at home would be great for him (they could wear each other out!) He would also be happy to come to work with you. Archer needs engaging chew toys and enrichment toys when he is left alone to keep his active puppy jaws satisfied and clever mind busy and out of mischief. He has had a go at herding sheep, which his trainer said he had good instinct for, and you could always try his hand at learning flyball, obedience and agility too.
It’s important to note that Archer needs a home with experienced dog owners. He also requires plenty of room to stretch his young legs. Archer will suit a family without small children – they are simply too exciting for him and he may accidentally knock them over in his enthusiasm. This handsome boy is highly intelligent – so he could take advantage of an owner who is not knowledgeable about clever kelpies and their antics. The good news is that for the right owner, Archer will be an outstanding companion and a loyal, lifelong member of the family.
Archer is a sweet young man who could really achieve anything with the right people leading him in life. He is a clean slate just waiting for his chance. Does that chance lie with you?

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.
**PLEASE NOTE: WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BEFORE FILLING IN OUR ONLINE ADOPTION FORM**.
We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
