About Roxy
SINGLE DOG HOME
No cats
Hi, my name is Roxy, I was surrendered to a pound because I wasn’t able to carry anymore puppies.
I’ve been used as a breeding machine but thankfully I’m now desexed so I’m looking forward to find a loving owner who will give me cuddles and the love I so much deserve.
I’m a tiny little girl and very cuddly, I just love being patted and sitting on a lap or couch which is what I get to do with all the lovely volunteers at SRV.
I know how to sit but that’s about it, I’m good on the lead but my favourite thing to do is just get coddles and be by your side.
Sadly I’m not too good with other dogs, I think I’m fed up with being mated so many times and I just want to be on my own now!
I would make a retired person or a family very happy, I’m a loving little girl and I will make anyone the perfect companion.
Summary:
Roxy evidently comes from a breeding background
Gentle demeanour
Very focussed on human attention and hard to distract from seeking it
May still be adjusting to new home and unusual weather patterns
May still be recovering from desexing
Limited obedience training – only knows ‘sit’ reliably
Pulls on leash being walked
Unknown with cats and children
Dog reactivity – contrary behaviour displayed.
Reactive on day of arrival as advised by Jan, but this was not observed on test day.
Appeared interested and relaxed on distance greeting.
So if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!
Please go to Stafford Rescue Victoria’s website where you will find the Adoption Application.
Please make sure you read all the information on the Adoption page, as well as the links at the bottom.
Medical notes
Possible luxating patella, doesn't seem to be troubling her.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan at jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every week to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
