About Lizzie
Meet Lizzie, a 4 year old Labrador Rottweiler mix who loves pats.
This little queen is happy lounging around either inside or outside … wherever is closer to you!
Lizzie is a clever, obedient girl who will happily show you how she can sit, give her paw, lie down, leave or stay✔.
This adorable pup can sometimes get nervous when she sees an unknown dog during walks. Lizzie responds well to calm and firm leash training✔.
In a short time she has already shown lots of improvement ✔so Lizzie will benefit from someone who can continue building her confidence on walks. It is important to not scold her when she displays anxious behaviour but simply divert her attention and praise her when she remains calm.
Lizzie would be well suited to a well structured home with adults or older teenagers. She’s not ideal for home environments with young children or dogs with high energy. Lizzie gets on well with her current foster greyhound and kelpie x dog 🐶🐕 and very much enjoys their company. She is best suited to be around similar sized dogs who have a calm friendly nature.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
