About Poppy
Hi Everyone!
I am Poppy and I am 11 weeks old.
I am a Mini Dachshund (aren't my little legs the cutest)
I have the energy, intelligence and athletic ability of a true Mini Dachshund with the loyal, loving side of a Mini Dachshund(!)
My new parents must understand my breed and personality and be willing to successfully guide me through life! As a young pup, I do need some help but I promise I am worth it (I am very clever).
I absolutely love adventures and will make the best friend you will ever want.
I am really good with other dogs of all sizes and ages (okay atm maybe really old ones find me annoying just cause i have energy to burn but I then do snuggle in with anyone and give the best cuddles!
I would prefer to have a play mate that wants to play with me otherwise I can be a bit cheeky and chew on things.
I am also good with cats but they don't seem to want to play with me as much as other dogs do.
I do like to sleep with someone or another fursibling and crates so far are not for me!!! I will tell you very loudly and clearly when I don't like something.
Poppy is very outgoing with lots of energy so will require someone who understand the breed and is happy for some crazy play times.
Please ensure you do read Poppy's medical notes regarding her foot.
Medical notes
Poppy has a deformed left front foot - xrays have been taken to show missing digits.
Poppy may end up with arthritis with age and time and vets recommend keeping her at recommended weight to avoid extra pressure on her foot.
Poppy in true dachshund style should not have a lot of stairs to access.

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
