About Rusty
Rusty The Brave
This sweet-natured and clever young man adores human attention and will make an outstanding companion for a lucky person or family. Don't let the way Rusty looks fool you - he may only have three legs but he is not lacking any spirit and it certainly does not hold him back. Besides, he's so handsome everyone is too busy looking into his mesmerising amber eyes to even notice! He loves to play with tennis and soccer balls and enjoys being in and around water. Rusty always enjoys frolicking with other dogs but, because he's only a young fellow, he needs his new human to help him learn when he's being too excited. Thankfully, Rusty is highly intelligent, a very fast learner and wants to please, so he has all the potential in the world for training. If you're willing to provide him with the kind of routine, boundaries and mental stimulation he craves, his training will continue to rocket ahead. Keeping Rusty's mind busy while you're out will help curb any boredom barking and he has been really well behaved in the garden - he hasn't demonstrated any destructive behaviour. At the end of the night, Rusty sleeps soundly in his crate after taking a minute or two to settle in. This young man has his whole life ahead of him and does not feel sorry for himself. With Rusty the Brave by your side, anything is possible.
(Rusty's condition does not cause him any distress and he does not require any special medical treatment for only having three legs)

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.
http://farmdogz.com.au/adoption-application-form/
3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.
**PLEASE NOTE: WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BEFORE FILLING IN OUR ONLINE ADOPTION FORM**.
We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
