About Renga
Renga's story is a sad but all to common one... she was a family cat that has obviously been loved but was left behind when her people moved. She was picked up by a concerned neighbour a few weeks after her humans left, skinny hungry and distressed. Renga went to the local pound and they made a lot of effort to contact her owners, to no avail. No-one came for her. Renga got very depressed in the pound and started to decline, so they contacted Cat People of Melbourne asking for urgent foster care for her.
Renga came into care very shut down and not eating but this has improved a lot. Renga really isn't comfortable with other cats, and avoids going into the common areas where they are. Surprisingly when Renga is by herself in the bedroom with her foster carer, once she realises she's safe, she comes up on the bed and asks for pats, head butts and purrs and is a truly loving sweet little girl.
Renga is a small superfluff of a cat with impressive pantaloons and a truly gorgeous marbled ginger coat. She's getting used to regular brushing, but when she's had enough, a gentle grumble and swat tells us she's had enough. Renga is quite firm with her boundaries and not afraid to let you know if your attention is unwelcome. She has grown quite an appetite and is eating well and putting on weight, and her condition has improved a lot.
Renga really isn't interested in the outside at all, after being left behind she never wants to see outside again except through a nice safe window. She would be ideal for a unit or apartment, where she can watch the world but only interact with her people in her space.
Renga's records say she's nine years old, but she's in very good condition for her age. Her teeth will need a clean soon, but apart from that there's absolutely nothing wrong with her that some one on one attention and love won't sort out. If you're looking for a deliciously fluffy loving feline companion, look no further, Renga fits the bill and is looking for you too! Interested? Click the enquiry link below and let's introduce you two!
Renga is a healthy cat who is currently on a Royal Canin digestive pouches, but also loves her raw and fishy flavoured food. She has been wormed, flea treated and vaccinated. We're hoping to get Renga in for a dental very soon, apart from that she has no health issues whatsoever. Renga came into care desexed and is microchipped (microchip #956000008302532, source #EE101165). She is available for adoption right now!
