Carmen

Carmen is a very sweet girl who got a really rough deal with her first adopter. Adopted out via a pet shop we worked with for a short time, she was adopted by a person with good intentions but no ability to properly care for her. She was returned to the group in a dreadful state, very skinny and starving, with very inflamed gums that were bleeding and sore.
Despite this neglect, she was still her sweet and loving self and we are determined to give her a home where she will be cared for in the way she deserves. We started working on her health with antibiotics, a very balanced nutritious raw & presciption diet (she adores her food and eats it all up!). On advice of the vets, Carmen has had all her teeth removed and her pain is now gone, she's a much happier little cat for it.
Carmen is a slinky girl who's filled out in care, with clean white fur and lovely striped tabby patches. She adores the company of her humans and will spend time snuggling with you on the couch, on the bed... wherever she can. She plays wonderful with humans, other cats and cat friendly dogs. Loves the laser toy and the feathery toy... and did we say she loves her food? To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a remote or in-person house check done, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
