About Bowie
It's fair to say I didn't get the best start to life. But I'm just a young pup and I know with the right family, I'll make up for lost time.
I felt a bit poorly when I first arrived at Lort Smith but the hospital team have fixed me up and I've been given a clean bill of health.
My confidence could do with a boost, and I would love to be taught some commands and manners at doggy school. I am highly intelligent and a quick learner, so I think I'll be top of my class in no time!
I will need an active home, daily walks and enrichment toys to keep my busy mind occupied.
I haven't been exposed to a lot of different environments in my short life, so I can be fearful of unfamiliar people, sounds and objects. My new family will need to be patient with me and help me learn that the world isn't such a scary place. Slow introductions and positive exposure to new situations will set me up for success!
I would benefit from going to a home with another dog, however they would need to be calm, confident and well behaved. I need a doggy mentor that I can learn from and who won't be pushy with me.
Sometimes I get scared of other animals and either move away or bark at them. But with a loving family by my side, I know I will overcome this and become big and brave.
If you have the biggest heart in the world, and understand that I will need a little extra patience and guidance, then please contact my friends at the Adoption Hub.
