About Yin
Bright and Bouncy Blue-eyed Boy
YIN
Yin and his brother Yang are both happy, handsome, blue eyed boys. More than just good-looking though, these young men are both very sweet. At only five months old, they have their whole lives ahead of them. They each need and deserve a family to call their own and devote themselves to.
Yin adores the company of other dogs, so a fur-sibling at home could suit him well, or otherwise, plenty of opportunity to express his 'social butterfly' personality. Being a young fellow he's really a clean slate when it comes to training. So far he has demonstrated good behaviour around cats and respectful children, under supervision of course. He has been learning basic obedience commands in his foster home with enthusiasm. Yin needs his new humans to help him learn about personal space and boundaries, as he just want to cuddle up a little too closely with you sometimes.
Have you ever heard of the Double Merl Gene? Through no fault of his own, Yin has inherited this condition. Some of the things you'll need to take into consideration are the fact he is more susceptible to sun burn. Yin will need to have access to full shade throughout hot days or be able to stay inside. He may also need sunscreen and glasses to protect his eyes from the sun - this is all easy to train as he is a young boy. This condition doesn’t limit him from having a full life, however, you will just need to be cautious when out in the sun.
If Yin's new family commit to continuing his training and care, they will be rewarded with a cheeky, affectionate and beautiful addition to their family for many years. Could this be you?!
** Please note - it's very important that Yin is adopted by a family who has invested some appropriate research into the Double Merle Gene and how to manage this condition. He will not go to a family who doesn’t know about it. Please also note that testing so far hasn’t revealed that he has any hearing issues, but there is a rink that slight eyesite issues may become apparent later in life **

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.
http://farmdogz.com.au/adoption-application-form/
3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.
**PLEASE NOTE: WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BEFORE FILLING IN OUR ONLINE ADOPTION FORM**.
We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
