Nelson

Nelson is a very sweet natured dog. He was rescued by his current owner when he was 8 weeks old from a farm because he was injured. He is two years old and he's very energetic and likes nothing more than to round up the chickens. He never tries to hurt them, but just enjoys getting them into the corner and holding them there so they can't move. He is trained to go travel in the car and loves car rides. He is also trained to sit, drop, come, leave it, and stop. He loves elderly gentlemen, i mean loves, if he sees an old man he makes a beeline for him and will be so gentle its amazing. He currently sleeps in the garage on his mattress, although he'd love to be a house dog and would be quite content to lay on a bed all day ifallowed. He's very smoochy and very floppy. He'll let you pick him up like baby and carry him around. He can be a bit food possessive with other dogs and when it's feeding time he can get snarly, never with people just with other dogs. Nelson loves kids, he is happy to let children hug him and lay all over him and never once shows any signs of aggression. He's a great guard dog, and will not let strangers into the yard until he is introduced. Nelson loves food, and if he could, he would eat all day, this makes him very easy to train. A few nelson quirks. . . Nelson smiles, every time i go out the back door or come home he always has a big grin on. Because he only has one eye, he tends to cower, especially if you come from his blind side too fast. He runs into things sometimes, because of his eye. He is hilarious when he gets excited he makes some strange and wonderful noises, that often make everyone in the area laugh. He likes to lick wire. . . Has done since he was a pup, no one knows why. Nelson is being surrendered because his current owner is unwell and unable to give such an energetic dog the time and exercise he needs. He needs a walking buddy and someone who able to just spend the time with this lovely dog
