About Donnie ~ friendly 3yo Wolfhound x (owner kept)
Hi my name is Donnatello, Donnie for short! I’m about three years and a rather strapping Wolfhound cross. Dog Rescue Newcastle are helping my currently owner find an amazing new family for me.
I get along well with other dogs and was recently living with a small breed dog. I would love a home with another dog for company, but could go be an only dog if the family have plenty of time to spend with me and I get lots of opportunities to play with other dogs as I love to play. My current owner does work full time and I am ok while they are at work, but any new home would need to have lots of time for me when they get home if they work full time.
I have been an outside boy, but I would love a home that would welcome me inside, particularly if they work full time. My favourite place is the beach, it is the best! A family who can continue to take me to the beach would be perfect!
I know how to sit and drop, but I can get very excited, particularly if I’m not regularly exercised so may not respond immediately. A home that is committed to providing me some ongoing and additional training would be ideal.
I currently live with children, so would be ok in a home with children, but older children would be better as I may knock over small children when I get excited. I haven’t been exposed to cats or pocket pets, so we are not sure if I would be suited to a home with cats or pocket pets.
I really am a beautiful boy who would flourish in a home that can give me lots of love and attention.
If you are interested in adopting Donnie, please either contact Melissa at melissapollo64@gmail.com who is helping my owner find my new home, or fill in an application at https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt . I currently live in Tea Gardens, NSW.
My adoption fee is $300 and I am desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
