About Dougie
*In foster care in Erskineville, Sydney*
Dougie is hands-down the sweetest boy you'll ever meet! He absolutely worships the special humans in his life, and loves meeting new people and dogs on his walks around the neighbourhood.
In his spare time, Dougie likes to sit on the front verandah or stand with his paws up on the fence and watch the world pass by. He gathers quite a crowd and enjoys all the attention and pats, giving gorgeous head hugs and smiles to anyone who looks his way :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Dougie is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will have a nice big backyard for me to run around and play in! Older children (10+) will be great mates for me, and maybe another dog as well.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'll need two 40-minute walks every day to help expend my natural reserves of energy. After those, I enjoy lazing around and being a couch potato!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Not ideal for smaller kids, sadly. Although I'm playful and friendly, I'm also a big boy and I don't know my own strength! I'd be perfectly suited to a loving family home with kids older than 10 :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I simply adore other nice dogs! I get a bit cranky with cats though, so I probably shouldn't live with one.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
