ABOUT ROY
Roy is an incredibly affectionate young boy who thrives on human and animal company. He likes to follow you around whether that be outside in the back yard or just lying down in whatever room you're in inside!
That being said, he's not shown any signs of separation anxiety and is quite happy being alone throughout the day. It's believed he came from a home with other furry family members so this is ideal for him when considering a forever home - however not a necessity if he will have human company during the day. He is fine to be an outside dog if that's what his family chooses but he's really enjoying being able to sleep inside at night in the living room! He is fully toilet trained.
Despite his size (20kg), he has not been particularly high energy. He is really happy to just have a nice big back yard to roam in and is content with a short walk around the block in the afternoons. Secure fences will be required, chest height or taller, as he has been able to jump over a low fence.
He is very social and loves meeting other dogs. He's been living with a toy size dog who isn't as social and whist he'd love nothing more than to play with them, he is respectful of other dogs and gives them space if they aren't interested in playing.
He doesn't bark at dogs or people walking by, and travels well in the car. His gentle nature means that he is very easy to handle whether this is taking collars on and off, going for walks, or to give his monthly flea/ worm tablets to.
Currently he is living with a toddler and isn't quite sure of them yet! It would be recommended that he should live with kids of age 5 and older; as he just isn't used to toddlers little fingers up his nose and all the other strange things they do!
He's shown signs of being very eager to please and therefore easily trainable. He is quickly picking up his sit/ lie down commands and walks well on a lead without pulling.
He will be the perfect family dog since he is clearly very obedient, loyal, gentle and affectionate. He is absolutely no trouble to have around at all and will give a lot of love to whoever gives him a home.
