About Doug
Hi! My name is Doug and I want to be your best friend.
I was found as a stray so nobody quite knows where I’ve been. Despite this, I love pretty much every human and non-human I come into contact with. I get very excited when I see other dogs, and I get ready to run and play.
I do best on a lead since I’m still getting used to my surroundings, however when my parents take me out on a long lead I come back easily and stick by their side. I think with a bit more training I will be able to run and play at my own free will! I am so excited for this day because then I can play with all of my friends without getting tangled up in my lead.
My foster parents gave me my name, so I will benefit from a little more time getting used to my new name. I know that I need to go to the toilet outside, but sometimes I just can’t hold it anymore (I pee a lot). If you have access to a backyard that would be perfect for me!
I can be a bit timid to sounds and quick movements but as long as you let me know everything is okay I turn back to my happy self. I don’t really like being alone very much. If I’m left alone for too long I will call out to you and get a bit sad. So if you have another furry friend in the house that would make me very happy! No cats though, sorry!
I like to have fun and can be a bit of goofball (I often trip my parents or run into things). I like to sniff and lick and cuddle my family. Even small humans are okay with me!
I would love to come and meet you if you think I would fit in well with your family. My foster parents love me so so much and have promised they will find the best place possible for me! This excites me very much.
I hope to sniff you soon!
