About Suzy
Suzy is a 2 yr old, calico & white desexed Persian. This poor girl came to us a month ago with no details on her microchip, and after serving the mandatory 28 day holding period, her owner never came for her.
Suzy is a mischievous, cheeky and sweet cat. She likes pats and is happy to be picked up, but of course being a Tortie she upholds the reputation and is rather naughty when having a vet check! She can be very playful and does occasional nipping but it's very gentle. Suzy is very playful and loves toys, and she’s very driven by human interaction. She seems OK with other cats and after spending weeks around dogs she’ll most likely adapt to a gentle, cat friendly dog.
****She is available only to a strictly indoor home****
Beautiful Suzy’s adoption fee is just $180. This includes her vaccination, microchip, a bag of her favourite Hill’s Science diet food, and an info pack with toys and helpful factsheets. She is located in Drummoyne, NSW 2047.
PLEASE READ MEDICAL NOTES
Suzy's needs are going to be relatively expensive. She will need regular shaving at a vet clinic under General Anaesthetic, unless you are committed to brushing her daily and maintaining her coat perfectly. Her new family will need to be comfortable with spending the money to take care of her.
Please get in touch if you think you could offer this girl the perfect forever home.
Medical notes
Suzy does have breed specific needs. She is brachycephalic (flat faced) which means she makes little snuffling noises like a pug due to her breathing, and she gets a build up of dermatitis in the skin folds around her eyes. She will need regular gentle wiping of the eyes and daily brushing. A persian coat must be maintained well to avoid matting.
Adoption details
Please contact the clinic and ask to speak with Rosie, our receptionist and cat adoption officer.
All cats and kittens adopted out from Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital MUST go to either an indoor-only home, or a home with a suitable cat-proof outdoor area or enclosure. Our mission is to make Sydney a better place for cats, their families and our precious wildlife. That means responsible re-homing. We want our cats and kittens to go to the safest, most loving of homes. We don't want them exposed to risks such as getting hit by a car, dog attacks, cruelty from people, injury or death from cat fights or dog attacks, or contracting infectious disease. We want them to live a long, happy and healthy life with their families; safe from harm :)
