About Billie
Billie is a Jack Russell X with the cheekiest little face you've ever seen (and personality to boot!).
She was bred as a farm dog, but taken to be euthanized when she started having fits as a tiny pup. Thankfully the vet got in contact with Forever Friends and we took her into care and spent the last 6 months getting her stable on medication. She requires meds 3 times daily, morning, after work and before bed. This costs approximately $50 a month.
Billie has been treated by a vet neurologist and had an MRI. She is a perfectly happy girl, just needs epilepsy meds to keep her seizures under control. Her ideal family will have a routine that means she gets her meds at the same time each day (twice daily).
Billie loves everyone and is cat, dog and child friendly. She has a medium drive, loves tug games and would do well with another dog who will be tolerant of her playfulness. She is always hungry, and loves a frozen kong or a bone to keep her occupied. She's still a young pup and will do well with a family who will continue her obedience training.
She is crate trained, and loves throwing her toys around and barking at them.
Billie is a sweet girl who needs a family who are confident they can manage her special medical requirements. If you think you could be a good match please get in touch :) Her adoption fee includes all her vaccinations and desexing, and a months worth of her medication.
Medical notes
Billie has epilepsy and requires twice daily phenobarbitone and Keppra. These medications are extremely important to keep her seizures under control.
