On Hold
About Apollo ~ Great Dane x pup (on trial 26/1/20)
Apollo is a sweet Great Dane x Bull Terrier puppy. He is a big boy with an equally big heart.
This solid boy is great with kids and other dogs, but because he's still just a baby, he'll need a family who know how to teach him to behave appropriately for his size.
Apollo is not a jumper but loves to follow you around the house and yard. Scratches behind the ear and playing with the rope are 2 of his favorite things.
Apollo will grow up to be a medium to large dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
Apollo needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be a wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 7 years and older.
As Apollo is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
Apollo's brother Benji is also available for adoption.
For more information or to meet Apollo, please contact Beth on 0423 422 783 or email Beth_73@bigpond.net.au . Apollo is in the Lake Macquarie area, NSW (south of Newcastle. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Apollo's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.
Medical notes
As Apollo is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
