Hiya! My name is Cleo! Thanks for stopping by, as you can see I am on the hunt for a family of my very own. I recently came into care from death row in a council pound. I was so lucky as I just had hours until the dreaded E word. But lets not dwell on the past. I am born approx Feb 2019. I currently live on acreage with my foster family which is heaps of fun! I love swimming in the dam, hanging out with my fur siblings (dogs and cats) - and kids and farm animals are great too. And obviously playing with toys is lots of fun! I am fully grown at 28kg
Commands I know so far are sit and we are learning shake, how cool?! I am learning fast considering I came into care knowing absolutely nothing! I am food driven so this helps me learn quickly. I'm a super lovely girl and I just LOOOVVEEE everyone and everything, so I do get a little excited at times (they call me 'wiggle bum) and my family have to remind me to be calm, but I just have so much love to give and I just find everything so much fun!
Anywho, my ideal family has 5ft fencing+ and another dog/s for company, will spend time with me and exercise me a few times a week so I don't lose my luurrvly figure and will continue to teach me commands and show me boundaries so I can be the best dog possible. I am fine to sleep inside or outside at night, as long I have another doggo for company. I do love to swim, so if you're not near water that's fine, maybe we could get a clamshell pool for the backyard? I sit well in the car and don't get carsick, and I am very well behaved at the vet too. I love making new friends.
If that sounds like you please contact my rescue today. I can't wait to meet you!!
Lots of love always, Cleo x
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following:
- Real estate approval
- Fence requirements
- Outside shelter areas
- Other resident pets fully vaccinated and preferably desexed
- The rescue pet's dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed, age
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet at your home, or in a public place. If you have other pets they must be at the meet. You may be required to travel to the pet; we infrequently have admins available to drive extensive distance and it also says a lot if someone is able yet unwilling to come to the animal they have applied for. If for example you cannot drive, feel free to talk with us about possibility of travel to you.
At the meet if you and the pet get along you have the option of either taking the pet on the spot (in exchange for signed contract and the full adoption fee paid upfront) or placing the pet on hold for up to 2 days with a $100 non-refundable holding deposit. This deposit is then taken off the original adoption fee should you proceed with the adoption. Should you place a hold, we will not proceed other applicants until you have removed your hold or adopted the animal.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold pets without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters, so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit is non refundable to avoid time-wasters. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the pet. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you place a $100 holding fee on the animal- the day you collect the pet you will sign an adoption contract and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $75 is non-refundable.
All animals are adopted out with vaccinations up to date; if for example you are adopting a young animal it may not have had a full protocol yet due to age- so any vaccinations due from date of adoption are the ethical and financial responsibility of the adopter. During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must notify OTC, and present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic we direct you to in your area. OTC will cover any treatment needed at our authorised clinics.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox. (www.facebook.com/offthechaink9)
