About Meteora
Hello everyone, they call me Meteora.
I am an absolute darling! I've had a pretty rough life. I came to BARC as a stray and they suspect that I am deaf. In addition to that I also had a horrible eye infection which has resulted in my eye having to be removed. Throughout everything I have remained the most sweet and gentle cat. I am cherished and adored among the staff here, I am a really special soul.
I am now healthy and strong enough to start the search for a new home.
Although this is hard to completely diagnose my deafness, I do not seem to respond to loud sudden noises, but other than that I am completely normal (Pirate cat). Due to my possible deafness and only having 1 eye the outdoor world could be a terrible place for me, as I won't be able to hear/see oncoming vehicles if I were to try and cross roads, nor would I be able to detect predators like dogs etc. It would then be best if I were to go live somewhere that I could remain indoors - bonus if I had access to an outdoor, secure cat enclosure!
I'm so lovely and affectionate, and am happy to live with other cats or as the only cat in the household. Come and take me home today!
All my love Meteora xox

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
