About Skittles
A little girl with big ears!
Skittles will make you laugh – she has a quirky and fun personality. She is quite playful and can often be seen playing with toys or collecting a few up and taking them to her bed. When she gets excited she does bounces on her back legs, little jumps in the air as she is running or spins with play bows. Her favourite thing would have to be tummy rubs and she will often roll over to suck you in to giving her some. Skittles even makes you laugh when she sleeps as she often goes to sleep on her back and her tongue sticks out a little. She also loves a cuddle on the lounge or bed with her people.
When it comes to people Skittles is very social. She has liked and enjoyed meeting a range of different people while in foster care and doesn’t pester people who don’t want to meet her when out and about. During her time in care she has done some café trips and was a pleasure to take out as she walks well on the lead and is happy to sit or lie next to you.
Skittles has been introduced to a number of other dogs while in care and greets other dogs nicely. She has enjoyed going to the dog park where she loves to run around with other dogs or chase birds to stretch her legs. Her recall is good off lead and she would enjoy a daily walk (or at least a walk most days). During her time in care she has been living with other dogs of varying sizes and ages and a cat. She cohabits with the other animals well and enjoys the company of her doggy friends. Skittles is a more dominant character and is best suited with a dog who has a similarly strong character. She is tolerant of cats but prefers they stay away from her.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Skittles where she will be a part of the family and loved but still given basic boundaries around the home. She will require a home with another dog for company and would prefer her human(s) be home more often than not as she bonds quite strongly to her people. She is house trained, knows how to use a doggy door, travels well in the car and is crate trained. We would prefer an adult home, or one with older children for Skittles and she needs to be allowed inside the home to spend time with her people and will need a spot inside to sleep at night.
If you are interested in applying for Skittles then please submit a ‘Dog adoption enquiry form’ on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. We will then call and interview suitable applicants before inviting a family to meet.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
