About Toffee
Darling Toffee is stunning Medium hair, fluffy Ginger tabby. He is very, very shy. He is the most timid of the litter, and whilst he is growing more confident every day, he really needs his beautiful sister Belle's support. Toffee is very easy to handle and pick up once he knows you, he also purred for the first time this week. He needs very patient understanding owners who will give him time to flourish. It took a month of showing him first that I'm trustworthy and it was safe to approach me, so now he gladly lets me lift him out of his pent and he has just purred for the first time while I was gentle patting him. He adores playing with his sister Belle and grooming her, and they fall asleep cuddling up to each other. He also LOVES toys and chasing little mice around!
Toffee was abandoned with his two siblings in a box outside a vet hospital in Western Sydney. Over flowing with kittens, I collected them from the clinic to foster and help find forever homes for. Toffee and his litter had clearly never been handled as they were initially very scared and confused by pats and affection from people. Toffee still hides when you try to pick him up, but will always come out for a feather toy or mouse, he has improved so much and with time he is blossoming into a wonderful little cat.
Like all of the kittens we rescue, Toffee is precious. He will only be available to a strictly indoor home, with a responsible family who are willing to commit to keeping him inside. Of course a garden with cat proof fencing and mesh is also wonderful.
Adoption details
Please contact the clinic and ask to speak with Rosie, our receptionist and cat adoption officer.
All cats and kittens adopted out from Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital MUST go to either an indoor-only home, or a home with a suitable cat-proof outdoor area or enclosure. Our mission is to make Sydney a better place for cats, their families and our precious wildlife. That means responsible re-homing. We want our cats and kittens to go to the safest, most loving of homes. We don't want them exposed to risks such as getting hit by a car, dog attacks, cruelty from people, injury or death from cat fights or dog attacks, or contracting infectious disease. We want them to live a long, happy and healthy life with their families; safe from harm :)
