About Louella
*In foster care in Marrickville and Pyrmont, Sydney*
*Ready for meet and greets from 20th February onwards*
Sweetie-pie Louella has been a fighter from the start! At around two weeks old, she came into foster care with cat flu and weighed only 103 grams.
From there she has gone from strength to strength, not letting the defect of her knee cap stop her from running, jumping or playing fetch with her foster parents! This congenital defect has needed some surgery to be completed which has all gone well. She will likely need a further surgery as an adult to correct any bone deformities that have been caused by the soft tissue defect.
Like all Maggie's pets, Louella is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will have other friendly animals or children to play and cuddle with - two of my favourite pastimes! When I get sleepy, my top pick of snoozing spots is on my foster mum, snuggled up under her chin.
I also adore travelling - especially if I can see what's going on around me! I frequently travel by bus, train and tram, and have even been on a ferry once when my foster mum had to go sing in a concert! I happily slept in my travel crate during the event, and then enjoyed coming out and meeting everyone at the function afterwards :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: High! I can play for hours on end before I get tired enough to sleep. I definitely have a fear of missing out, though - at the slightest noise I snap awake again, as I love being a part of everything that's happening!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I've met quite a few children in my short life so far - and they've been awesome! Kind pats and playtime are the best.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'm desperate to be mates with the resident cats in my house, but sadly, they're a bit intimidated by my energy and bounciness :( Maybe your cat will be more compatible? While I haven't had much to do with dogs, they don't scare me - so I'm definitely open to making a different type of four-legged friend!
Medical notes
Louella has a congenital defect of the patella. This has needed some surgery to be completed which has all gone well. She will likely need a further surgery as an adult to correct any bone deformities that have been caused by the soft tissue defect. she's adapted really well to it and is gaining strength every day.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
