Sky

Sky is one of those cats who whatever you are doing, she just has to be with you.

Sky will happily accompany her carer in all their tasks around the house. She will make sure she is close by just watching and she is happy to be occasionally picked up and have a short cuddle and then be put back down. When her carer is reading or watching tv, Sky likes to come and sit on top of her carer for some attention, stay for a few minutes then leave again. Alternatively, she also likes to lie or sit alongside making contact on her terms.

She loves to have a play after breakfast and dinner, jumping and chasing and trying to catch whatever is on the end of a piece of string.  If she is feeling particularly energetic or happy she will quite often just take off at high speed and chase one of her soft toy mice or run through her tunnel. After breakfast and playing, Sky will spend the day in one of her favourite places in the sunshine, keeping an eye on that all goes on in the garden.   

Sky can be feisty at times and her adopter will need to be patient and give her the space she needs while she adjusts to a new home. She loves the company of those she trusts but it will take her some time to build that trust with someone new. Sky needs a home where her warning signs are recognised and respected but where she also has firm guidance to help her learn what is and isn't appropriate.

Sky is not suitable for a family with young children and would probably be best in a home with no other pets. She has not been tested with dogs.

Sky is offered with an extended trial period of four weeks to give her extra time to settle in and to ensure you both are the right fit for each other.

The adoption fee of $230 assists to cover the costs of desexing, microchip, microchip ownership transfer, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations and vet check.
