About Alfie
Alfie was found wandering in a rural village, with a broken chain around his neck. He was taken to the vet where no microchip was found. He was very thin and covered in fleas.
Since coming into care he has transformed into a super friendly, tail wagger. He has learned that having a bath on a hot day is just the absolute best, and relaxes completely in the water with his head propped on the side. He also loves hopping in the clam-shell pool whenever he wants for a splash around, so I think he would love going to the beach.
As you can probably see from the videos, he loves other dogs, and loves to play.
Alfie has been quick to learn to sit......very easy with a treat in hand, he loves food. He is now learning that having a leash on is good, it means going for a walk, and this will need to continue in his new home. He would enjoy some sort of puppy school too, if that is available in your area.
As you can see from the video, he is so happy, he still tends to jump up (his front paws come to my knee) so I would say tiny kids are probably not his thing, but middle school age upwards would be fine.
He loves to go in the car, and will happily jump in to go for a ride.
Alfie is not a barker, and is beginning to use the doggie door to come in and out of the house as he pleases.
Please send an email telling me as much as you can about yourself and what you can offer this unique boy, with the long body and short little legs! Do you have other pets? Any kids? How long would Alfie be alone during the day, if at all?
We are located in Moree, northern NSW. We do have daily flights to Sydney and beyond, with JetPets, and fortnightly pet road transport with DogMovers.
Both of these options are easy to arrange at new owners cost.
