About Rosie
What happens when a working dog won't work? Say hello to ROSIE, born 16 August 2016.
Originally a working dog, Rosie decided one day, to the dismay of her owner, that farm work wasn't for her and she just stopped working.
As a non-working working dog, she found her way to ARK and now we're looking for a safe and loving forever home where she can just be a pet.
Rosie is a very special soul. She is quiet and shy, so needs just the right friend or family to take her in and love her. Her transition from failed working dog to family pet is well underway, but there's still a journey ahead for Rosie and she'll need patience, love and understanding to reach her full potential.
More accustomed to life as a hardworking farmhand before she unexpectedly threw in the towel, Rosie doesn't give or take affection easily, but when she gives in, she enjoys a scratch and a cuddle, but only on her terms.
Rosie is very interested in cattle and horses, but doesn't want to work them - no surprises there - and is easily called off. She is not cat or chicken friendly.
She would be best suited to a home with another friendly dog of similar size. She has shown no aggressive tendencies and is a sweet-natured girl.
If you are interested in meeting Rosie, please complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and someone will be in touch.
Her adoption fee is $380 and she is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
