About Maggie May
Maggie is a sweet playful little girl who is great with other puppies and dogs. She loves her food but is respectful of the other dogs at dinner time. Maggie will play until she’s tired and then conk out in the air conditioning with the other dogs. She’s bold and confident and always to be found in the thick of the puppy play. Her intelligent, cooperative temperament means she’s a pleasure to look after.
Maggie was born in a remote Indigenous community in the Barkly region of the NT. As a result, in her early puppyhood she was exposed to lots of people, children and other dogs. She was surrendered when the vets were making a desexing visit. Since coming into care she has been in a mixed group of puppies and has thrived. We anticipate that she will be a medium sized dog as an adult. With her calm, steady temperament and carefree puppyhood, all she needs now is a forever home to help her grow her into a lovely family companion.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of local, adopters, our rehoming operation is in South Australia. Maggie’s adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Maggie is currently in foster care in Elliott.
