About Dora
Dora is a sweet gentle little soul who is very people focussed. She loves nothing more than a cuddle, lying on her back for a belly rub and staring into your eyes! She’s a pup who really knows how to relax. But, cuddle over, she’s off to play with the other puppies or explore the yard and potter about with the bits and pieces she finds. She’s a water baby who loves the paddling pool or playing under the hose, but also treasures her special time cuddling up on the bed.
Dora was born in a remote Indigenous community in the Barkly region of the NT. As a result, in her early puppyhood she was exposed to lots of people, children and other dogs. She was surrendered when the vets were on a desexing visit. Since coming into care she has been in a mixed group of puppies and they have all been very charming and easy to care for. With her intelligent and teachable nature Dora has the potential to grow up into a wonderful family companion.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work takes place in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our rehoming operation is in SA. Dora’s adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Dora is currently in foster care in Elliott.
