Salty

Salty is a goregeous little pup - a gentle and sweet guy at heart. He loves to roll around and play with anything he can get his paws on, but will find things to interest himself in the yard as well. He’s something of a leader with the other pups and is full of good ideas for fun games. He loves the wading pool, and likes to get wet and muddy then collapse in a heap for a big sleep. He is a really social little fellow and loves a cuddle and a sneaky nap up on the bed with his foster carer.

Salty was born in a remote community in the Barkly. His family were leaving town so they asked us to rehome him and his two littermates (Chibby and Rani). Mummy dog is only 10 kg or so but dad is a medium size and Salty takes after him. We expect him to grow to about 20 - 25 kg. He and his littermates are clever little things and have been such a pleasure to care for. Salty’s confident, intelligent nature and eagerness to please makes us think he would be top of the class in Dog Obedience.

Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Salty's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Salty is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
