About Lucas
Lucas's perspective during his first days:
"It was hard to leave my little brothers. They were so good to me and they've always let me have the most of the food, that's how I've got to be the strongest one of us. When I got to the shelter they even called me "the fat one", which wasn't really nice of them, but I forgave them as they end up finding me a good foster home until I was ready to find my forever home. My foster parents seemed lovely, although they kept putting me in very scary situations, like getting in a car, introducing me to two feral beasts who owned the house (cats) and making me sleep alone for the first time. The good thing about it is that I've got to learn that all these things are actually not scary at all. I feel quite relaxed in the car now, is a great place to take a long nap. The cats, although very bossy, are actually great companions and they even let me sniff them if I approach slowly. And now I know that even though they leave me in my bed alone, I have the whole night to sleep and they'll be there for me in the morning. They prepared me well to have a good start with my new family. They've told me that if I learned a few tricks people would end up falling in love with me, so I did my best to learn how to sit, go to my bed, lay down, shake hands, high five and walk well on the leash. To be honest, it was even pleasant to do the training, because they always gave me some good treats after doing what they were asking me to do. I think I'm ready now to find my own forever family. I just hope they let me have a snooze on the couch with them and that they give me many options of toys, as I never like to be told that what I'm trying to chew is not a toy."
From his foster parents: "Harvey is a clever and affectionate boy who'll be the best companion to play with, to be taught new tricks, go in adventures and have the best snooze on the couch "
From his foster bosses (the cats) "Thank God he's available for adoption and we'll have our house for ourselves again. But wait...is he really going? He's actually very cute, I'll miss him."
