Bindi

Meet Bindi!

Bindi adores people, loves children of all ages and is cat friendly. She just wants to please you, play fetch and have cuddles. She is a happy-natured older kelpie girl of 10 years who needs more mental stimulation than physical stimulation. She can be easily excited at the prospect of new people who can be her next toy throwing best friend and at the prospect of a walk. She is fine being left outside alone if needed but most prefers the company of her people and to sleep inside at night, knowing her people are nearby. She lounges and sleeps on the floor, on mats, sometimes upside down with her legs in the air. She is an absolutely loveable dog who knows the commands sit, lie down and wait (waiting with much enthusiastic anticipation). She has a new-found evening pass-time of looking like a statue and 'possum gazing' outside. 

She is most suitable to being an only dog due to aggressive behaviours towards dogs she has had exposure with. She can be activated  at the sight or sound of another dog by lunging and growling (i.e. when going for a walk).  However, she does not consistently display those behaviours if her neighbour dogs are barking in their yard next door, for the most part, she ignores them.  She loves her squeaky toys and sometimes carries a toy on her walk around the block. Squeaky toys can assist as something to redirect her attention to.
