This beautiful boy is Checkers. He has become bonded to Odie while in foster care at Rescue Me Whiskers & Paws and we would love them to find a special home together, but we understand that isn't always possible.

They are both incredibly smoochy, interactive, cuddly, intelligent, funny and cheeky boys who adore ear, chin and belly rubs. They both love nothing more than chilling out with you, cuddled up on the couch or bed. They both happily sit watching what's going on around them and are forever playing or grooming each other. They are never far from each other. They even sleep on top of one another cuddled up! You couldn't ask for two better companions than these 2 special boys! 💙🐾❤️

The reason we require a very special home is because Odie and Checkers are both FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). They can live long and healthy lives, but will need to be kept INDOORS ONLY due to having compromised immune systems.

FIV is not transferrable to other species of animals or humans. It is transferred between cats by deep bite wounds (These boys were found as dumped strays in very poor condition and had suffered many wounds by cat bites and we have nursed them back to good health). Other cats can be vaccinated annually to protect them from FIV.
