About Hunter
PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 and travel being restricted, we are only allowing our dogs be adopted in NSW or ACT.
Are you looking to adopt a loyal and loving older gentle German Shepherd then we have the boy for you.
Hunter came into care and has lived with other rescue shepherds both male and female, but Hunter would prefer to be the one and only dog in the home.
This healthy eight year old desexed male stock coat German Shepherd still enjoys his daily walks and playtime. Voice responsive Hunter knows his manners and would suit an active retired couple or a family with older children who have had experience with large breed dogs.
If you understand the nature and temperament of the shepherd breed and have a secure yard with room for a large dog and shade and shelter then Hunter would be a wonderful companion dog.
Our requirements are that Hunter must have inclusion in your home as an integral member of your family, and have recent experience owning a German Shepherd. To apply for Hunter please click the “Enquire for this pet”.
Medical notes
Hunter is in good health is desexed and C5 vaccinated.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
