Hi there possible future pawrent,
My name is Blair. I came to OTC with four of my 'gossip girl litter' siblings, and they appropriately named me, Queen B. OTC has since paid for my mum to be desexed so that there will be no other unwanted puppies. Since coming into care I have been such a star!!
Here are a few things about me to help you decide if we’re a match made in paradise.
1. I’m smart. I worked out how to defeat all three of my feeder kongs in pretty much the first go. I am very food driven, which makes me easy to train.
2. I’m adventurous and confident. Unlike most puppies who want to sit and eat their leads, I already know that lead = adventure. I don’t get to go far yet as I’m only up to my 2nd vacc, but give me a couple of weeks and I will be a perfect running buddy. Together, we will go far! I will have a medium energy level and will look forward to outings 4 times a week.
3. I'm super affectionate. I’ll be the first at the door to greet you even if only after 5 minutes and there’s nothing I love more than falling asleep in your lap. Call my name and I’ll coming running in a second. I am going to be your BEST friend.
4. I am so great at the vet and in the car. I will sit patiently, and am fine to be examined and checked over. My foster daddy is a vet cardiologist and has practiced health checks with me lots and lots to help me be the perfect patient for my future family.
5. I am really calm and easy to fit into any lifestyle. New things don't phase me. Stuff like a whipper snipper, vacuum cleaner, mop etc... I sit calmly and just like to watch.
6. My current carers both work full time hours, so I am used to just hanging out at home alone with the other dog/s.

Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following:
- Real estate approval
- Fence requirements
- Outside shelter areas
- Other resident pets fully vaccinated and preferably desexed
- The rescue pet's dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed, age
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet at your home, or in a public place. If you have other pets they must be at the meet. You may be required to travel to the pet; we infrequently have admins available to drive extensive distance and it also says a lot if someone is able yet unwilling to come to the animal they have applied for. If for example you cannot drive, feel free to talk with us about possibility of travel to you.
At the meet if you and the pet get along you have the option of either taking the pet on the spot (in exchange for signed contract and the full adoption fee paid upfront) or placing the pet on hold for up to 2 days with a $100 non-refundable holding deposit. This deposit is then taken off the original adoption fee should you proceed with the adoption. Should you place a hold, we will not proceed other applicants until you have removed your hold or adopted the animal.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold pets without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters, so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit is non refundable to avoid time-wasters. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the pet. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you place a $100 holding fee on the animal- the day you collect the pet you will sign an adoption contract and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $75 is non-refundable.
All animals are adopted out with vaccinations up to date; if for example you are adopting a young animal it may not have had a full protocol yet due to age- so any vaccinations due from date of adoption are the ethical and financial responsibility of the adopter. During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must notify OTC, and present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic we direct you to in your area. OTC will cover any treatment needed at our authorised clinics.

1. Contact us for a quote via email or facebook, providing the following info.
- Your name
- The animal you are interested in
- How soon you would be able to adopt (as naturally their weight will increase with time)
- Which airport you would collect from
2. Once all of the above information is provided, we will gain a quote from JetPets, using our charity discount. Flights are generally from Brisbane or Toowoomba, QLD.
3. Once you receive your quote, if you'd like to proceed please put in your adoption application to make sure you don't miss out.
