Greetings! The name is Dan and it is lovely to meet you!
I am a young dude looking for a forever family of my own. I came into care with my siblings after we were surrendered by by our former owners. OTC has since paid for my mum to be desexed so that there are no more unwanted puppies.
Since being in care we have received great nutrition and all of our vet work to ensure we are healthy enough to embark on the next chapter of our lives. Let me tell you a little about myself..
I currently sleep in the laundry at night. My toilet training is going great! I only did one wee inside, my foster mumma said I missed the puppy pad, but was super close!! I live with two other dogs and love them! My carers both work so I am used to just hanging out with the other dogs.
My favourite things to do in life are sleep, play ball and get treats out of the Kong. I have a medium energy level and will love to go on outings 4 times a week to the park or on walks.
I have no fears that have been noted. I have come across storms, the vacuum cleaner and broom, and whipper snipper- so far so good! I am so great at the vet and in the car. I will sit patiently, and am fine to be examined and checked over. My foster daddy is a vet cardiologist and has practiced health checks with me lots and lots to help me be the perfect patient for my future family.
That is enough about me, I'd love to get to know you so please contact my rescue today so we can meet! D x
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following:
- Real estate approval
- Fence requirements
- Outside shelter areas
- Other resident pets fully vaccinated and preferably desexed
- The rescue pet's dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed, age
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet at your home, or in a public place. If you have other pets they must be at the meet. You may be required to travel to the pet; we infrequently have admins available to drive extensive distance and it also says a lot if someone is able yet unwilling to come to the animal they have applied for. If for example you cannot drive, feel free to talk with us about possibility of travel to you.
At the meet if you and the pet get along you have the option of either taking the pet on the spot (in exchange for signed contract and the full adoption fee paid upfront) or placing the pet on hold for up to 2 days with a $100 non-refundable holding deposit. This deposit is then taken off the original adoption fee should you proceed with the adoption. Should you place a hold, we will not proceed other applicants until you have removed your hold or adopted the animal.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold pets without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters, so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit is non refundable to avoid time-wasters. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the pet. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you place a $100 holding fee on the animal- the day you collect the pet you will sign an adoption contract and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $75 is non-refundable.
All animals are adopted out with vaccinations up to date; if for example you are adopting a young animal it may not have had a full protocol yet due to age- so any vaccinations due from date of adoption are the ethical and financial responsibility of the adopter. During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must notify OTC, and present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic we direct you to in your area. OTC will cover any treatment needed at our authorised clinics.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox. (www.facebook.com/offthechaink9)
