My name is Bayleaf, I'm on the smaller side of medium build and I am looking to be your new best friend. I am seeking someone I can spend my days with and not be left for long periods. I'm a bit of an attention hog, so if there is a resident dog they need to be a mature, chilled and calm natured pooch who wouldn't mind me headbutting my way through for pats.

I'm a bit of a fusspot when it comes to choosing new canine friends, so you just need to help me learn and set me up to succeed. I adore humans and prefer their company over anyone else, I'm not comfortable going to the dog park or other overwhelming environments. I ignore the cats in my foster home, they're boring.

If you love cuddles, someone to curl up with on the couch to watch TV, to snuggle up to and keep you warm at night, someone to go out for walks with, jogging buddy, rides in the car, adventures and just a good all round companion then I am the dog for you! I can be unsure of new surroundings at first but soon get used to the different sights and sounds.

I can use the pet door to let myself in and out as I need to, I like using it to go and sunbake as I please, as well as doing my lady business of course. If you don't have one, please install one for me.

My foster mum says that I am very obedient and I respond really quickly. I can sit, shake and drop as well. I am learning not to get super
excited and express my joy by jumping up when people arrive or come home. I'm a pretty quick learner with the right teacher.

I have a lot of love and affection to give and I’m just waiting for a new family I can call my own.
